Cierra Caballero HeadshotFrom being a lead singer in the band Unveiled all through high school and early college years, becoming a host for the YouTube Channel PopNerdTV, and creating web series Jump Scare, Nerd Portal, and being not only a showrunner, but also portraying the titular role as Irene in the upcoming series, Berenice and Irene; Cierra Caballero has never followed a usual path. Cierra Caballero studied at the University of North Texas with a major in Radio, Television, and Film, she focused on screenwriting, interview and performance, and cultural studies including Gender, Horror, and Sexuality a class that would soon inspire Jump Scare. Besides PopNerdTV, she wrote articles for the blog The Lazy Audience, edited online comic reviews for Four Guys and Comic, did freelance articles for Famous Monsters of Filmland’s Facebook, and acted in various roles for Firemerk Productions. Her dream of becoming an author is also in the works, as she has joined The Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in 2017 and is currently working on her first middle-grade book.


Cierra realized her passion for writing and performing at a young age when she wrote her first picture book about aliens drawn with precision using only markers and her incredible living room performance of Christina Aguilera’s Reflection. From then on, Cierra performed in countless school productions including Annie, Cheaper By the Dozen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alice in Wonderland, and 1984. and three local theatre productions of High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. In high school, she was voted Best Female Newcomer and Best Character Actress. Her theatrical training soon prepared her for on-camera work for PopNerd and as a lead singer for Unveiled where she did two music videos for “Burn the Diary” and “Barely Human.” Unveiled has performed all around the DFW area.
